The betting as to who will win this year’s Super Bowl is incredibly tight with the odds slightly favouring the more experienced Patriots side (5/7) over the Rams (6/5).
"Year on year, turnover on American football has increased significantly on these shores and with seven States now operational in the US, we expect to see more money wagered than ever before on the NFL’s season finale – with most of the early cash coming in for the Patriots," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
Despite the relaxation in laws on the other side of the Atlantic, the American Gaming Association predict that 95% of all Super Bowl wagering in 2019 will still be of the illegal variety as opposed to fully regulated betting offered by William Hill.
