We’ve linked up with Code First Girls in the UK and we’re sponsoring six graduates from the programme, who will be joining us this September.
Attracting female candidates into Product and Tech is just one of the proactive steps we’re taking to recruit diverse talent into our business. All six Code First Girls graduates passed a rigorous selection panel, following their participation in a William Hill sponsored course, attended by 120 females looking to progress their careers in tech.
William Hill’s partnership with Code First Girls is already paying dividends. As a social enterprise, Code First Girls is dedicated to transforming tech by providing the skills, space and inspiration for women to become developers, data scientists, and future leaders across a range of industries globally.
Hayley Corcoran, Head of People, CPTO, commented: "Like all companies, we’re in a race for top talent and being part of a high-quality initiative like this is an important element of our overall recruitment strategy in Product and Tech. Code First Girls is helping us deliver on our Belong ambitions, and we’re looking forward to welcoming our six graduates in September".
Made up of over 60,000+ women, with over 55% from underrepresented ethnic backgrounds and 90+ nationalities represented, Code First Girls is a community led organisation that provides courses dedicated to developing the next generation of tech leaders, through immersive teaching and coaching opportunities.
